Remet RT-630 PTO Disc Chipper

The Remet RT-630 disc chipper is designed for chipping branches, tree trunks, and other wooden materials such as sawmill edging scraps up to 4.7" (12cm) in diameter. Chip size is determined by adjusting four replaceable wear-resistant steel blades relative to the counter-blade. The blades are screwed to a 24.4" (620mm) diameter, 99 lb.  cutting disc, which acts as a flywheel to maintain rotational inertia under load.

The discharge chute can be rotated 360˚ to direct the stream of chips in the preferred direction. The chipper infeed hopper is positioned for efficiency and ease of loading. The RT-630 produces chips suitable for use as biomass fuel in screw feed wood burners, as decorative landscape material, of for farm animal bedding.

The RT-630 chipper requires a 15-45hp tractor.  Roller bearings are lubricated via grease Power for the chipper drive is transmitted by the PTO shaft from the tractor PTO (right-hand rotation). The included safety switch should be wired to the tractor's PTO circuit.

Roller bearings are lubricated via grease points in the bearing housings. A tow ball is included to allow for towing a trailer from the chipper.

Recommendations:

• We recommend the use of a friction clutch PTO to protect both the disk chipper and the tractor from excessive shock loads.
