NW Forest Products is an outgrowth of our Timbery sawmill sales with a local focus in SE Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. We operate based on a small scale, vertically integrated model offering services and products to our B2B and B2C customers at various stages of the lumber production process. This allows our customers to enter and exit the value chain wherever it fits their needs.
Hardwood Lumber Sales
We sell graded domestic dimensional hardwoods and softwoods at our Burlington, WI location. Our primary customers are woodworkers, furniture makers, cabinet makers, crafters, makers, and other artisans. While we may occasionally have live edge slabs in stock, this is not our focus. Notes:
- All hardwoods dried to 7-9% moisture content UNO.
- All hardwood grades based on NHLA criteria.
- Add 25% for material >12" wide, 35% for material >16" wide.
- All lumber rough sawn unless noted otherwise. We do not currently provide in house surfacing or sanding services.
- Standard lumber lengths in 1' increments with a prevalence of 8' lengths x random widths.

Kiln Drying
We provide small volume kiln drying (up to 4,000bf/charge, 100mbf/yr) at our Burlington, WI location. We can run a full load of your lumber or use your lumber to supplement another partial load. Many variables determine pricing including overall customer volume, intake moisture content, species, and thickness.
Unloading, edging, stickering, end-sealing, pre-drying/ air drying, and post-drying storage are available at additional cost. Properly prepared, stickered banded packs on flatbed or deck-over trailers will be unloaded for no additional charge.
