Remet R150 PTO Branch Logger
The Remet CNC R150 PTO Branch Logger is a great machine for quickly and efficiently cutting branches up to 5.12" (13cm) into firewood using a tractor with as little as 45 hp. The 8-knife model will produce cut lengths from 4-7 inches and can be run with only 4 knives installed to effectively double the cut length.
The heavy-duty precision made cutting mechanism ensures a long service life of the components and the entire assembly. A fabricated steel base and three-point hitch mount result in a robust frame to support the heavy steel cutting mechanism. A fabricated sheet steel infeed hopper and outfeed shut with included single-bag filler round out this heavy-duty machine.
This model, similar to other Remet branch loggers, can be equipped with a flywheel, a single or double bagger, and a foldable pivoting belt conveyor, to allow for discharging to the rear or side of the unit.

These models can cut branches up to 16 cm into firewood, and will cut lengths from 6-10 inches. These models typically use the same mechanisms as the standard series but include heavier sheet metal components. Similar to the standard series, 8-knife models can be run with only 4 knives installed to effectively double the output length of your firewood.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a difference between branch loggers and wood chippers?
Branch loggers look similar to wood chippers but produce chunks of wood instead of small chips, which make them more suitable for cutting firewood. They are also much faster and efficient than a chipper. Branch loggers are also referred to as wood chunkers because they produce chunks of wood instead of chips.
How does a branch logger work?
Branch loggers have a set of opposing knives which shear logs and branches into chunks of wood. Depending on the model, a branch logger will have 4, 6, or 8 knives.
Do you have these branch loggers in stock?
Yes. If you can select and configure a branch logger and see the “Add to Cart” button, the branch logger is physically in stock in our warehouse. If you see a “Pre-Order” button, and an in-stock date, we have that particular configuration in transit to our warehouse. Do you stock parts for Remet equipment?
Yes, we stock select parts such as replacement blades and conveyor belts. Items such as bearing are readily available if ever required. This line is so well built it is unlikely any other major parts will be required.
Do you sell any other Remet CNC products?

I am a firewood producer. Is there a market for short firewood?
Absolutely. There are an increasing number of mass produced manufactured backyard fire pits and small wood stoves that require firewood in lengths shorter than the traditional 16” length and there is no faster or more efficient way to produce short firewood than with a branch logger. Plus, this type of firewood currently sells at a huge premium. If you are in this short wood market, you can easily pay for a branch logger in a weekend or two.
What are your shipping options?
Remet equipment typically ships by LTL dry van and LTL flatbed carrier due to the size and weight. If you have not received LTL freight before, please contact us before ordering online so you are aware of the delivery requirements. As another option, equipment can be picked up at our warehouse in Burlington, WI. This also provides an opportunity to see the equipment prior to purchase and get more in-depth usage information.
We ship standard orders such as accessories and parts by FedEx, UPS and USPS. Orders placed before 2pm CST ship the same business day. Orders placed after 2pm CST will ship the next business day. Delivery date estimates are calculated during checkout.
