What is a Log Scale?

If you are wondering how to calculate board feet in a log quickly, Logrite's version of the traditional log scale stick is the answer. Available with or without a 6" cushioned rubber gripped handle. An anodized blue finish highlights laser etched numbers allowing pitch to be easily removed with solvents without damaging the printing. While often referred to generically as a Doyle log scale, there were originally dozens of various localized scales in use with 4 main scales remaining in use throughout the US today.
