To efficiently process softwood lumber or dimensional hardwoods for sale to most commercial buyers, your material needs to be surfaced on two sides (S2S). This is where dual surface planers excel. These machines allow for productive high volume flattening (joining) one one side while simultaneously planing on the opposite side. While a double sided planer requires a substantial investment, a cost savings due reduced labor cost is quickly recognized.

The Cantek GT400BRD 16″ Double Surface Planer has a robust cast-iron body for industrial planing day in and day out. The standard spiral insert knife cutterheads produce a smooth planed finish with maximum stock removal. Material is passed over the bottom head with a spring-loaded pin feed system with the adjustable infeed bed determining how much material is removed. The final thickness is entered in the digital control panel which automatically positions the top head & feed assembly.
